DILMORN - King Brandon Terend left little doubt about the legacy he will pass on to his children, to our children. Speaking before a highly unprecedented public Counsel of Regents in Dilmorn, His Highness laid out a bold plan, after nearly 400 years of waiting, to finally liberate the royal palace from its demonic intruders.

King Brandon Terend
"The time has come," the King said in opening. "Starting now we are on campaign to take back Antüril's Castle."
Stunned silence prevailed among the Regents, the press, and observing citizens, but silence quickly gave way to enthusiastic cheers.
"Make no mistake," the King added gravely, "this will be a difficult campaign. I will ask for sacrifices from all our citizens, from adults, from children, from humans and dwarves and elves and gnomes, each to that person's ability. And some of our bravest and finest citizens will be asked to risk their lives. But we know we must someday act. We choose now.
"We will do this for our children. We will do this for ourselves. And we will do this for the souls of our mothers and fathers."
Planning sessions were scheduled to commence immediately.

Prince Carlynn Makes Political Debut
BRELIN - Prince Carlynn Terend, recently turned 18, attended his first official function, representing his father King Brandon Terend regarding progress in the campaign to cleanse Forkhaven of its occupying forces. The Prince, speaking at a reception at the Brelin Brinberry Inn, confirmed that the mission was finally complete.
"Most would have considered the job finished years ago," the Prince said, speaking informally after the ceremony, "but the King is most careful with his pronounements whenever the Karidrans are involved. And he emphatically plans to maintain vigilance against future transgressions."

Most royal observers credit the announcement as a convenient vehicle for the Prince's first public speaking opportunity. In addition, they noted that once it became known that the Prince would be speaking, a great number of dignitaries suddenly found reason to have their daughters substitute for them, easily verified by noting that the majority of representatives in attendance were attractive young women near the Prince's age.
DILMORN - One of the earliest snowfalls on record will blanket the inland valleys with a dusting of snow. The coverage is expected to melt quickly but a more severe storm is expected early next week.

DTC Secures Seraphia Rights
SERAPHIA - Agents of the Dilmorn Trading Company announced yesterday the finalization of plans to open a shipping office in Seraphia. This long awaited development gives the company access to a much wider array of trading partners.
"We've done quite well with our port offices in Thistlewart and Danzeigo," said company speaker Estan Trevor, "but to service the larger merchant fleets we needed access to the port facilities in Seraphia. We believe we've struck a deal that can accommodate all parties."
Funeral arrangements for long-time crime boss Don Depaulo Anisteen are still being finalized.
Cambridge Church Demolished
CAMBRIDGE - In a surprise move, the cathedral of the Church of the Holy Suffering in Cambridge was razed to bare earth yesterday. Cambridge city officials were surprised by the Royal Decree that condemned all the buildings on the property and seized all of the Church's assets.
In a related story, royal officials escorted reporters for the Cambridge Daily Brew to the site and spent a good deal of time with them in private talks. Details of those talks have not been revealed but observers noted the reporters were visibly shaken.
Royal officials did not reveal plans for the site, but the appearance of several noted demonologists and theologists suggest that the catacombs below the church property will be the focus of an intense study.
Officials of the Church of the Holy Suffering were not available for comment.
An impromptu festival involving personnel from all the other churches in the Cambridge area has been scheduled for tomorrow night.
